How to prepare


METHOD OF PREPARATION

  1. Add app. 450 ml water in steps to the Gulab jamun mix & make it into soft dough by gentle mixing.  
  2. Mix it by rubbing it with both hands for 3 min
  3. Keep it for 5 minutes. 
  4. Apply vanaspati or ghee to your palms & make small round shaped jamuns. See that no cracks are there in the jamuns. 
  5. Fry them over low heat in edible oil or ghee over a period of 5 min. till golden brown color develops. 
  6. The frying should not be done at very high heat or at the smoking point of the fat. 
  7. Soak the fried jamuns in hot sugar syrup of moderate strength. 
  8. Cover the utensil till the jamuns have absorbed the syrup fully.

PREPARATION OF SUGAR SYRUP

  1. Dissolve 3 kg sugar in 3 litr. water & boil it till you get clear solution. 
  2. Flavour the syrup with cardamom or saffron.
